About 'Who is she?': An old, passionate cinematographer is looking for "She". As he finds an important clue on who she might be, he decides to leave town and to go into the mountains. There he finds what he was looking for all those years: The divine Penelope.


The arrival of the New 35mm camera by Aaton, The Penelope, inspired us to create a sponsored commercial for this camera. The result  was both a promotion of the camera as well as an extention of our portfolio.

The film not only shows the camera but also our style of working and passion for film. Rick Roos and I like to take time for a shot, a viewer needs to have time to see every aspect of the shot. I don’t like to steer the viewer to much. This is why we chose to have only 11 shots in the film. Before we start something, if it is a film or something else, we want to work it out en prepare it as much as possible. Just like the cinematographer in the film. He waits and searches his whole life with his old camera simply because he had not found anything better than his old camera. For example, we searched four days in two different forests, in Germany and Belgium, to find the right forest. Further, the passion that the cinematographer has for motion graphic film is a link to the passion we have for it.
